Sindhi Biryani

I am posting a new recipe today after a long time.Preparing a yummy perfect biryani is something that every cook desires.Born and brought up in a Muslim family, I was very much aware of the recipe of Dum biryani and have cooked it many a times.But this time I tried a lighter and easier version of a kind of dum biryani and it's 'Sindhi Biryani'.Its lighter on palette and very quick to prepare.I have used a ready made Shaan masala of Sindhi biryani.Do try it!
Ingredients:
1 kg- Chicken
3 -Onions
1 cup-Yogurt
3-Sliced tomatoes
3- potatoes cut into halves.
2 tspn-Ginger garlic paste
1 cup-Coriander and mint leaves each.
500 gms-Cooked basmati rice.
1 packet-Shaan masala
2 tbsp-Oil.
No need to add salt as the Shaan masala already has salt included.

Method:
- Wash and clean the chicken using vinegar.
- Fry the finely chopped onions on medium heat until light golden.
- Add ginger garlic paste, let it cook with onions for one minute.
- Now add the chicken, potatoes,Shaan masala and yogurt and mix well.
- Cover with lid and let the mixture cook until chicken is completely cooked.
- Now place the sliced tomatoes on the mixture as shown below.Also add the finely chopped coriander and mint leaves as shown.Do not mix after placing tomatoes, coriander and mint leaves.
- Now place the cooked basmati rice on the mixture and cover with lid.
- Let the biryani cook on low flame for another 10 minutes
- Your aromatic delicious Sindhi biryani is ready to be served.
