Mutton Shami Kebab

Hi All,

I am posting a new recipe after quite a long time.Mutton Shami kebab is one of my favourites and I prefer it when I have less time and a special occasion.Do try the below recipe and enjoy the succulent juicy soft shami kebab.



Ingredients:

1/2 kg- Minced mutton
125 gms-Soaked Chana dal
2 tspn- Garam masala powder
2 tspn- Ginger garlic paste
1 tspn- Coriander powder
1 tspn-Red chilli powder
3 - Big green chillies
3 cups- Fresh coriander and mint leaves.
Salt to taste.
Oil to fry.

Method:

  • Wash and soak Chana dal for half an hour.Drain it completely.
  • Wash the minced mutton thoroughly and drain it to remove all the water.
  • Put all the above mentioned ingredients except coriander and mint leaves in a pressure cooker and let it take 5 to 6 whistles.
  • Let the mixture cool completely.
  • Grind the mixture fine.

  • Add finely chopped coriander and mint leaves to the grounded mixture and mix well.

  • Now make rounded tikkis as shown below:

  • Coat the tikkis with egg and deep fry the kebabs.




  • Serve it hot with lemon dices and fresh mint.
