Mutton Kheema Masala

I am back with a new post!It's a pure Muslim delicacy and it's called mutton Kheema masala.We can prepare it in two ways to give it either a green or red color depending on what ingredient you use.I personally prefer the green one.So do follow the recipe!



Preparation time: 45 mins
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

1 kg- Minced mutton
3 - Onions finely chopped
1 cup- Green peas
2 tspn- Ginger garlic paste.
3- Cloves, whole black pepper, cinnamon and green whole green cardamom each.
1- Bay leaf

Ingredients for Green Masala:
6 - green chillies
2 cup- Fresh coriander
1 tspn- Cumin seeds
6- Garlic pieces.

Method:


  • Wash the minced mutton in a strainer and make sure all the water is strained.
  • Now, we need to cook the minced kheema in cooker before preparing the masala.
  • Put the mutton in a pressure cooker.Add 1 finely chopped onion, 1 tspn Ginger garlic paste ,turmeric powder and salt.
  • Take 3 whistles in the cooker.
  • Now, fry 2 finely chopped onions in a vessel till light golden.
  • Add clove,cinnamon,bay leaf,black pepper and ginger garlic paste and green masala.Fry for two mins.
  • Add green peas and cooked mutton.Mix well.

  • Cook the mixture for another 15 minutes with covered lid.
  • Add kasuri methi at the end and cook for 2 minutes.

Mutton Kheema is ready to be served!Serve it with pav or hot chapatis.
