Methi Paratha

Hello All,

Here I bring a new recipe today! Its an Indian breakfast delicacy loved by everyone and is highly nutritious for.Its none other than Methi Paratha😋! I prefer making it atleast once a week as my family members are not very fond of eating cooked vegetables simply. But methi paratha is too hard to resist for them😉!Its fast to make, easy to cook and super delicious to have.So do try the parathas tomorrow itself and let me know your comments and doubts, I will help in solving them😊😊.

Ingredients:-

4 cups-Fenugreek leaves
4 cups-Wheat flour
1 cup-Besan
1 tspn-Ajwain
1/2 tspn-Turmeric powder
1 tspn-Cumin powder
1 tspn-Curd
1 tspn-oil
1 Glass-water
Salt to taste
4 tspn-Ghee to cook parathas on a pan.

Method:-

  • First, we need to prepare the dough for parathas.
  • To prepare the dough, mix all the ingredients except ghee mentioned above in the dough maker(I prefer using the atta kneader for making any dough, you can even use your hands for the same).Add water smaal portions initially to make a thick dough as shown below.Make sure not to add lot of water at the start of kneading the dough as it spoils its consistency. The dough should look as shown in below image:

  • Refrigerate dough for 5 to 10 minutes so that it is well binded.
  • Now start rolling the parathas using small portions of dough like a normal chapati in round shapes.
  • Heat the non stick pan and place the paratha on it.Let it cook for some time and flip it.
  • Add some ghee on top of the paratha and flip it back after 2 minutes and cook the paratha from both the sides until golden in colour as shown below:
  • Your parathas are ready to be relished upon with tomato ketchup!
